Super-Rabbi flies again Chanukkah!
Rabbi Tamás Verő is the senior rabbi of the Frankel Synagogue in Budapest, Hungary.
Last year Rabbi Verő decided not to make the regular Chanukkah party at the syangogue because he believes that Jewish families should celebrate the holiday at home instead of in institutions or cold streets.
So Rabbi Verő started a campaign: he „flies” to homes of families to light the Chanukkah candles. The condition of his visit is to have at least 10 children at the house. This also motivates families to invite guests and celebrate together.
This year Rabbi Verő continues his mission. He is already invited 12 houses which means at least 120 children and their parents. And Chanukkah is not yet here ….
